For today's project, I had a bit of a play with watercoloring paper with a variety of inks. I had several stray, sample pieces on my desk from the last few days. All of a sudden, they seemed to go gravitate together in a little cluster. I then popped into the little 6x6 paper pad I've been playing with to find a background. Sometimes restricting yourself to what is in front of you can bring about really novel results. Ain't creativity grand?!

- Door: ephemera left over from matchbox book kit (Etsy - Emma Parrish) - Project
- Background paper from a 6x6 paper pad bought many years ago. (Not sure of brand or store.)

- Crayola supertip (Dark green/balck)
- Crayola colored pencil - orange
- Junesix washable ink pads (Amazon)
- Roizefar alchol ink bottles (Amazon)
- Other
- Scotch repositionable glue stick to put the pieces together and then put that cutie right on the door!
- Neenah Index - 110 lb.
Process:
- Stamp and/or cut out various elements on white card stock.
- Play with coloring the images with the select few inks on your desk. Notice that you seem to have a blue + yellow + brown theme going on.
- Let certain elements naturally gravitate to one another. Play with arranging them.
- Don't worry about the fact that you have no idea how to arrange things. You are having fun and exploring, and that is what matters!
- Find a way to frame the image. Use a small part of pattern paper you have close to hand. Plop the cluster of elements on the papers until you find one that seems to match.
- Throw some more ink on that page to tone down the bright yellow and make it feel closer to the colors of the other elements.
- Throw some glue on it and put it up on the door/wall.
- Spend the next few hours thinking about how much joy those little bits of paper are bringing you.
